KDE sound control center error

Hi! to everybody.

When I try to go into KDE'S sound & multimedia control center gives me an error in a little window saying:

Error Control Center

Unable to start the Sound Server to retrieve possible sound methods.

Only automatic detection will be available.

I'm using SUSE 10.0 that I bought from Compusa here in the USA, hardware configuration from suse 10 reports that my sound card is a nForce2 AC97 Audio Controler (MCP).

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

No, i don´t think it has to do something with your hardware.

I think KDE can´t start Arts (the soundserver from KDE).

Solution for that?
