Install Issue ProLiant 5500 Server

Hi all,

Newbie so be gental.

Having issues installing SuSe 10.1 (from CD) on a Compaq ProLiant 5500 server.

Config is 4 * 550 P3 Xeon CPUs, 2GB RAM, Compaq IDE CD, Smart Array 3200 with 3 * 18GB Drives. DDS3 DAT Drive and two Compaq NIC. If it is relivant currently has an Eval Window 2003 installed on the array.

I can boot the CD fine and I get the Install menu, no matter which option I try it get the second screen OK with the rolling circles cursor for about 2-3 minutes and then it switches to a blank screen with a cursor in the top right-hand corner. Caps and Num lock stop working on the keyboard. The only thing I can do at this stage is to power off.

I need to run a Suse 10.1 server for a voicemail server for the new Linux based phone switch that we are about to purchase. Suits me fine as my background was originally Unix. (Unix V on NCR Towers and Motorola 5400 as well as Aix on the first RS6000s into the country and various SCO versions, been a while now though

OK I have got further and it appears that YaST doesn't like the graphics card - ATI 3D Rage IIC. If I use Text mode it seems to be OK.

So is there a driver that I need to load ?
