install from harddisk

I want to install Suse 9.2 on my PC and i burn the first SuSe9.2 cd. I booted my PC with the first CD of suse in CDROM drive and I came to instalation menu of SuSe. I chose harddisk as source of installation because i had all the isofiles of SuSe9.2 on my harddisk. But why did the installation fail? I have filled correct location of the isofiles. Any one can help me?

Is there any trouble if install SuSE 9.2 on my PC with S3Trio3D/2x video card? Can i switch to 1024x768 resolution? Thanks very much.

You should choose CD as the source of the installation. The ISO file is a CD image, when you burned it to CD you created the installation media. Burn all the ISOs to CD then install from those CDs.

To reiterate, the ISO is a file that the install program can't unpack and see what files are inside it.

If you really don't want to burn those iso's to CD, you may unpack them to your local harddisk (e.g. WinRAR is capable to unpack iso's) and try again.

abisko00: How would you reference that folder?

For instance, /dev/hda1/Linux Folder?

I have never done this before, but your suggestion looks good. Isn't there some kind of menu guidance when you select the harddisk as installation source?
