I cannot install sendmail in GNU/Linux

Hi, I´m trying to install sendmail but there are some dependencies:

rpm -ivh sendmail-8.14.3-50.20.1.x86_64.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
postfix conflicts with sendmail-8.14.3-50.20.1.x86_64
sendmail conflicts with postfix-2.5.6-5.8.1.x86_64

Hi,

This is not a dependency, but a conflict.

Sendmail and Postfix do the same job. Why do you need both installed?
You already have Postfix installed, why are you not using it to do what you intent Sendmail to do?
Which flavour and version of Linux are you using, to still try to install packages with rpm -i instead of yum install or dnf install?

Am using openSUSE Leap 42.1 (x86_64)

BTW ONLY install from Repositories for your linux version AND your release.

Are they there ? zypper lr -d

Is sendmail there ?

Code:
xxxxxxxxxx@linux-xxxx:~> zypper se sendmail
Repository 'packman' is out-of-date. You can run 'zypper refresh' as root to update it.
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...

S | Name | Summary | Type
--+--------------------+--------------------------------------+--------
  | perl-Mail-Sendmail | Simple platform independent mailer | package
  | sendmail | BSD Sendmail | package
  | sendmail-devel | BSD Sendmail Development Kit | package
  | sendmail-starttls | BSD Sendmail Starttls helper scripts | package
xxxxxxxxxx@linux-xxxx:~>

Then to install command: zypper in sendmail
NOTE: to install need answer the root password

IF change mind, to uninstall: zypper rm sendmail
NOTE: to un-install need answer the root password

.
