how to restore grub in suse 10

hi ppl,

i plan to instal win xp in place o win 2k... i have parallel suse 10 running.. i want to install the win xp without re installing suse... so how do i restore the grub wit win xp as the alternative os.. lseae tell me asap!!!

With the installation disk, you can repair your sistem
wenn it looks for installed sistem it see that one it installed, it will ask you if you want install a new sistem or repair the installed one, try this way it the easy one, ther is another way via sistem rescue but i don't know the command to install grub.

Easiest way I can think of is to make a boot floppy (if you have a floppy drive) for SuSE (use YaST to write the disk). Then install xp, which will overwrite the MBR.

Reboot after installing xp, with the SuSE boot floppy in the drive. When booted into SuSE, use YaST to configure grub.

You will probably have to manually edit /boot/grub/menu.lst to add an entry for xp. There is an example in the grub manual.
