how to modprobe ndiswrapper on startup

Hey fellows, I finially got suse 10.1 loaded on my laptop. I have to use ndiswrapper for my broadcom chipset based wireless. While this is working fine and dandy, I am getting annoyed having to ...

modprobe ndiswrapper
ifup wlan0

every time I boot to connect

Under YAST I do have wlan0 starting on boot up, BUT it can not connect since I need to modprobbe ndiswrapper 1st, thus the connection fails.

OK, so here is my question, what file do I modify in openSUSE 10.1 to modprobe ndiswrapper on startup. I believe this should solve my problem. I want to sask here before I start just modifying files, and possibly really messsing something up.

Thank you

Jersey Devil

I also have a broadcom chipset, with my Dell Inspiron 6400/E1505. My wireless card is the 1390. I followed these instructions to the tee.

http://nextgen.no-ip.org/~andrew/lin...fo10-32bit.php

However, after setting it up, I went into Yast and configured the network 'User controlled with Network Manager' It now boots up and connects to my wireless network every time without any intervention from me. You might want to give it a try. The author of the article claims the Network Manager may only work in 15% of cases. I am one of the luck few I guess.

PS - at the bottom of the article it suggests how to fix the problem you are having

thanx, that worked.

I also found under Yast
System->"/etc/sysconfig" editor->"System|Kernel"->"modules_loaded_on_boot"
in here type ndiswrapper to auto boot

Again thanx for the response,
It loads ndiswrapper now on bootup

cheers
