how to install a patch - filezilla gnutls

I recently installed opensuse 13.2 beta and am trying to compile filezilla source code. The drive had opensuse 11.1 originally and I did the install over it. A yast install of filezilla will not work due to complaints of relocation error when it is run. I found this link:
http://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/4489
and downloaded the patch. I added my hard drive's folder location in yast, but do not see it when I do a search. How can I install the patch so I can continue to compile filezilla?

you are aware that 13.2 only partly works ,it is not yet officially released .

it is not do to be released for about 90 days still

i am even a bit surprised it installed

if you have issues with the still in testing NOT released OS, i would ask on the development mailing list.

Thanks for the link. Yes, I agree, the beta has issues. The stock video driver was unresponsive with my nvidia card at the kde plasma desktop. I had to open a second tty terminal and use a command line yast to install the nvidia driver.

That would be the Nouveau driver

you need to uninstall or blacklist it before you can use the nvidia.run
or one of the 3 SUSE rpm's
suse dose things so different that even nvidia has separate instructions for JUST suse
http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA
for new cards ( might NOT yet be in the beta repo yet)
GeForce 8xxx and newer:
Code:
zypper install x11-video-nvidiaG03
as to fillzilla

13.2 would have gcc TESTING 4.9
filzilla likely will NOT yet build with that
you would likely need to hack the filezilla source code to build with the still experiential version of gcc

i would install Gcc 4.3 or 4.7 and see if it will build with an older version
