How to create a launcher icon ? (for wine/windows program)

Not a big deal really, but I can't seem to create a launcher icon on the desktop for my favorite windows text editor. It is running in wine just fine. I can run it by opening an XTerm window and typing wine {path}{program}. But when I tell dolphin to put a link to this program on my desktop and then click on that icon, I get this message:

Code:
Unknown error code 100
execvp: Exec format error
Please send a full bug report at https://bugs.kde.org.
Is this a bug or am I just doing something wrong?
How should I create an icon on the linux desktop for my windows program?

without details hard to answer. Would be better to check the *.desktop file (which was created).

Thanks!
Writing that .desktop file works, if you then tweak it a bit in "properties" in the GUI mode. I had to set the command to the real path instead of the "Windows" path:
wine \home\rhyader\.wine\{blah blah etc.}
instead of:
wine "C:\Program Files\{blah blah etc.}"
You can also change the icon displayed by clicking on it in the "properties" box.
