Question Gv4l reports transcode not in programs path

Hi! Everybody

I successfully installed Gv4l 2.2.4-0@i386 (Gui for video 4 linux), which I downloaded from their main site as a rpm, using yast by clicking on the file on konqueror, clicking install with yast and giving my root access for installation. When I click on the icon to run the program, it tell me that transcode is not in a known programs path, although is install (transcode 1.1.0-0.pm.0@i586). I can see the Gv4l and transcode apps in my /usr/bin folder. How can I tell Gv4l to look for transcode in /usr/bin. I know I have to use the path command, take in count I have not use path command in opensuse 11.

Thank you in advance.

Do you mean you "cannot use the path" because you are in the GUI, not the terminal??

I said Gv4l does not see transcode, thats the main problem. My question is how to tell Gv4l to look under /usr/bin for transcode, thats where the program is. The program will not lunch the gui if it does not see transcode installation.

Thanks in advance.
