I was reading through the July Linux Format magazine LXF107 and on page 10 was an article about REAL Software's REAL basic 2008 release 2. You can find the latest version at:
http://www.realsoftware.com/download/
For openSUSE download the tgz file and place in your home area. I then opened up the archive and copyed the contents into my home folder called /home/username/REALbasic2008r3.1. To run execute the file called:
/home/username/REALbasic2008r3.1/REALbasic2008
If you are into basic programming, this would be something you want to get. The article in Linux Format claims this version if free for Linux users.
Thank You,
