firefox save link as problem

Does anyone else have this problem ... when I right click a link and choose save link as when the save dialog box pops up in the file name spot is my download path instead of the filename ... this is happening on my laptop running 10.1 and my wifes running 10.0 .. any ideas??

Thanks

well, i didn't see that one, but i have another - when i try to download anything with firefox, saved file has "another" extension... like, let#s say i was downloading blahblah.tar.bz2 to /mnt/stuff. so one would expect, that in mnt/stuff he finds file blahblah.tar.bz2, but lo and behold - the actual file name is blahblah.tar.bz2.bz2

where did the second extension came from? probably will be mozilla thing as i observed this behaviour on mandriva 2006 as well as on my current suse 10.1

another one interesting is this: every now and then, when i press ctrl+f (find) in firefox, what would you expect to see? a little find bar at the bottom of the screen, wouldn't you? well, guess what? i get an xterm terminal i close firefox, fire it up again and it's going on like it never happened. (i checked key associations and there's no way i could associate ctrl+f to xterm...)

well, not very helpful post, but i thought i'll share some of my linux+firefox experience ;0

i still think firefox is a great browser ad i am really looking forward to firefox v2

well, good luck then,
cheers

Nope, don't get any of those........

It's all doing what it's supposed to.

Suse 10.0 (generic desktop)
Suse 10.1 (Dell laptop)
Firefox 1.5 on both

You don't need RPMs. Simply download Firefox 1.5.0.5 from www.mozilla.com and follow the instructions. It's really good & simple (just right for me).
