DNS trouble with Belkin wireless

i have a belkin wireless card.

found the router, 80-odd % signal strength, but cannot resolve any urls. i know the router is set up right, since im using it in windows ok.

ive come to the conclusion it's a DNS problem - cannot browse the internet.

any tips?

can you acess the router by typing the ip-adress?

Good afternoon chaps! If you think it's a DNS issue, then check /etc/resolv.conf. This is where DNS info is stored. If you don't have the file, simply create it. Make sure it contains the line 192.168.0.1 or whatever your gateway is. (That's the example in my /etc/resolv.conf as it's the address of my router) Cheers!!!
