I have a what I am sure is a REALLY dumb question but I cant seem to find where to change the default file view to detailed list. I have Suse 10/10.1. When I browse directories I want all of the folders to use the detailed list view. Currently I have to click on the icon or whatever to change the view but when I go back its set back to the default. I looked around but couldnt find a place to perminantly change this.
If you are using Gnome, then run the program gconf-editor, open the apps tree, open nautilus tree, and select preferences. In the right panel, select default_folder_view. Change the value from icon_view to list_view.
