cant access my windows ntfs partition


Hi. I cant access my windows xp ntfs partitions from Suse 9.1 in spite of the fact I changed the permissions of the device to rw and also Im owner of it... furthermore I changed the fstab file (adding the rw option).

By default ntfs support in linux is turn off because no one can warranty that linux can handle that damn M$ file system safely.
If you need ntfs support, you will have to recompile your kernel to enable it.
There is some document and tutorial about how to compile kernel on this forum
