boot 3 OS in the same system suse mdk win xp?


i had install suse 9.2 pro on my system. i have already win xp and mandrake 10.1 but when i was installing suse, it wrote group over mdk's lilo so i can boot my computer only from suse 9.2 or win xp. How can i configure group for boot from mdk ? i wanna use all of my Operating Systems.

First you need to find out where the kernel and the ramdisk are located on your mdk partition and how they are named. Then you have to create a new entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst (of the SuSE partition) and specify the location of the two files (use the suse entry as template). This should be sufficient to boot into mdk.

If you need more help, please post some information about your partitions and kernel/initrd locations.

ok

for mandrake on hda8
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8.1-10mdk
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.8.1-10mdk.img

shall i add these lines in menu.lst

title Mandrake 10.1
kernel (hd0,7) /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8.1-10mdk ro root=/dev/hda8
initrd (hd0,7 /boot/initrd-2.4.18-14.img

my /boot/grub/munu.lst like that

Looks good to me

I think there should be no space between (hd0,7) and /
