I have two machines running SuSE 9.1. Both have Apache2 installed. Both have SSL certificates in the proper locations, and a correctly configured vhost file. On one of them, "rcapache2 start" will start the server with -DSSL, on the other, it will not. "rcapache2 startssl" will not start it with -DSSL either. However, "apache2ctl startssl" works like it should, and the pages are accessible via
https://. The /etc/rc.d/apache2 files on both machines are identical.
What can be causing one machine to fail starting SSL through the startup script where the other has no problems?
