A Question About Boot Loader

I am using SuSe 9.3 with KDE 3.4 and I have also Windows XP installed

now I want to format the XP partiton (C: ) which contains the boot loader (grub)

if I formatted the C:, this will cause the loss of the boot loader, so how can I (after reinstalling XP) make the grub work as the boot loader ??

thanx in advance

do you have a boot disk for your linux partition?

if so: go ahead with the reformat and reinstall grub after booting with the disk

if not: make one and proceed with the above

what do you mean by a boot disk ??

do you mean CD1 of SuSe9.3 ??

and if yes, how can I install grub from it?

and if no, from where can I make a boot CD ??
