hiii, i am using SUSE 11.0 KDE 4.0.
I used to run java programs in windows by following commands
Code:
javac simpleclass.java

when i tried to run in my terminal , i came to know that it doesn't have javac command, it has only java command.
Code:

Hi -

1. Go into Yast2 (the system management GUI for SuSE)

2. Select "Software"

3. Add "Sun Java"

4. This should install both the compiler ("javac") and the Java interpreter ("java").

Do *not* install "gjc" (Gnu Java), unless you're sure you want/need it.

'Hope that helps .. PSM
