Wireless setup help WUSB54GSC OpenSUSE 10.2

Hello all,

I'm having trouble setting up my wireless once again on my new fresh install of openSuse 10.2. I could use some help as i'm a bit of a newbie with setting up wireless on linux. I'm using a Linksys WUSB54GSC USB adapter... when i call lsusb, the adapater is recognized as the following...

Bus 005 Device 003: ID 13b1:0026 Linksys

So it sees it there, unfortunaly the way i set it up in Suse 10.1 doesnt work... i guess there were some big changes in this area for 10.2. Help would be appreciated, i really dont know what i could do next. I'm not sure if i need to go with ndiswrapper since its recognized, plus i dont believe it comes with this version of suse. Correct me if i'm wrong.

The chipset for this is Broadcom i believe.

Thanks in advance.

It's easy.
Go into Yast then Software>Software Management
Type in ndiswrapper. accept.
it will ask for the cd so install using cd
dl the windows drivers or load them from cd whatever
copy them to your home directory
go into console
change to the directory where the .inf file using cd (ie cd /home/YOURUSERNAME/Folder where inf is)
then type ndiswrapper -i <filename.inf>
once driver installed
type modprobe ndiswrapper press enter
then type iwconfig
k great.
then in the bottom right look for the wireless in the knetworkmanager
click an available wireless network shown and it will connect!

If its already installed then you don't need a ndiswrapper to make it work. You need a suitable wireless daemon.

I for instance have a Intel PRO Wireless 3945 ABG card. That is installed as default but doesn't work without the daemon which needs to be added for some reason.

Anyway thats where you need to start. Using a ndiswrapper works but using a native linux driver should be preferable.

Does anyone know if I could find the native drivers for this card? If so where. I had hard time trying to get my dlink DWL G122 work on 64bit opensuse 10.2. Even ndiswrapper didn't let me use 32bit inf file for 64 bit linux. Planning to purchase a card that has driver available on web.
