I'm TOTALLY new to Linux and SuSE, and was just wondering: will the .iso file fit on a 700MB/80min cd? It says the file is 700.09 MB. And on the SuSE.com site it says the file is 702 MB.
I'm currently downloading the iso for SuSE 9.1 personal, from the linuxquestions.org distros page. For the record, I'm using LeechGet 2004, but I don't think that's crucial to my question.
Of course I suppose I'll figure out in about 10 minutes when the download finishes and I try to burn the cd (using Roxio CD Creator).
But generally speaking, when an .iso file is bigger than 700 MB, and it's supposed to burn to a disk, what are you supposed to do? How do you get it on a cd? Or are they expecting you to burn it to a DVD? I personally know nothing about writing to DVD, and my burner can only read DVD not burn them, so it's quite confusing.
PS. And is there really only one disk for installing 9.1 ? I notice that others, Mandrake, Fedora, have three or more disks for install... am I missing something?
