What are Yast Online Update (YOU) sources?? How to add DVD to Smart?

I've done a fresh install of openSUSE 10.2 and I'm quite happy with it.
But coz I don't have a DSL connection and had to set up my connection AFTER installing openSUSE, I find that Yast is not set up with ANY online repositories. It only lists my openSUSE DVD as an installation source. Plz let me know what repositories openSUSE 10.2 uses for OFFICIAL updates (security updates?) so I can add them in Yast.

One more important question: I have set up Smart according to http://susewiki.org/index.php?title=...ackage_Manager.

But I find that it cannot install packages from the DVD. How do I add my openSUSE 10.2 DVD as a channel in Smart so I can install stuff off the DVD with Smart??

What commands do I use to install OFFICIAL opensuse 10.2 updates via Smart? Doing "smart update" tells me there are no new packages? No (security) updates even till now?

I'm a bit puzzled...plz help me as I'm very new to Suse.

Thanks & regards

I don't have openSuSE running at the moment so I can't just open YaST and look. You might find your answer on these pages.

Open YaST and click on online update configuration. Just follow the steps and it will set up a repo for openSUSE updates.

Sure......I just installed the Smart GUI and now I can easily see what packages are there that need updating. You'll find it all here

Hope this helps
