Question PPP GUI for openSUSE/Gnome?

I'm using openSUSE 10.3 with Gnome and I use Kinternet to connect to the Internet. I'd like a Gtk application as a PPP GUI. I did some research and found on the web gnome-ppp and gppp but they are not in the openSUSE repositories. Can I download them from a different repository? Or can I download the package from elsewhere? Or do you suggest something else? Thanks.

I have compiled gnome-ppp from source in the past and am currently using this for dial-up purposes to the Internet. It seems to be a rather obscure download these days, as I have had difficulty in tracking down the source when I accidentally deleted it some time ago. If you do a search for it, however, you should eventually come across it. I created an rpm from it so that I can install it on other systems without the need for re-compilation each time. Gnome-ppp serves as a front-end to wvdial, so you will need to ensure that this application is installed prior, although the default openSuSE installation should already have this in place. Also, there is kppp, which may already be installed on your system if you have KDE installed. Both serve their purposes well for a GUI for dial-up.

Thanks. I have wvdial already. I use Gnome, so kppp and kinternet don't integrate visually that well. I'm worried about gnome-ppp being discontinued. It's been more thant 2 years there hasn't been any update and it's not reached the 1.0 milestone. Any alternative to gnome-ppp (using Gtk)?

I don't know about the details of the 1.0 milestone, but I have gnome-ppp working fine on my laptop with 10.3, as well as all of my other Linux-based computers with dial-up access. Just because further development has seemed to have been discontinued, the application still works, and will most likely be so in further openSuSE releases. Again, you can just compile from source for future releases of openSuSE if need be. I cannot offer any other alternatives, as the ones I currently have suit me well.
