I tried to close KRadio one time and it didn't close, big deal, usually a thing comes up to force quit it, but that didn't happen, and with the feature of restoring every program that was open after shutdowns and restarts, it won't go away. I noticed that force quitting for other programs happened by way of kwin, so I tried to run that with run command. Nothing. Also, I have a Microsoft Optical Trackball Mouse and the wheel on it will scroll down but not up. I looked in KDE Control Center but of course like all GUI configs I've seen in Linux, it was a piece of crap.
So, I looked under the kde menu and found some service config programs or something like that, but I don't want to schedule a service, I want to kill a program which I don't even know is a service.
Anyway, if you have ideas or need more info, please let me know,
linux:~ # kill 4523
-bash: kill: (4523) - No such process
linux:~ #
Also how, for next time, do you find the pid of programs/services? And how can I make my mouse work with the wheel properly, I was going to fiddle with different mice names and see if they worked, but I can't find that screen either, I know I've seen it.
That's true, you can use that method, and many others if there is a window to click on. sometimes there is not or an application is running in the background or your mouse is not responding or you may be in command line mode and not have a mouse available.
