Talking installation problem of opensuse10.3 on intel core2duo , intel genuine 945gcnl ....

hi everyone,

i have an installation problem of opensuse10.3 on intel core2duo , intel genuine 945gcnl .
i have successfully installed opensuse10.3 on pentium 4 , intel 845gvsr.

what is the problem?

on 945gcnl when i install it .It loads installer and then it stuck in middle & indicates failure in installation .

i do it 2 or 3 times it fails .

it install many pacages & rpms but fails in installing kernal rpm.

is its kernal in compitible with my 945gcnl?

on 845gvsr i have successfully installed & using.

so what is the problem?

plz help.

i have installed opensuse 11.1 on pentium 4,845gvsr successfully but not tried on core 2 duo, 945gcnl because of this reason . can any one tell me that: is 945gcnl supports opensuse 11.1 or 11.0 or 10.3 ?

Why 10.3?

My first thought would be that the 10.3 kernel is too old for the system you are attempting to install it on, that is it lacks support for some crucial device or function. Why haven't you tried openSUSE 11.1 as a live-cd and seen if it functions well with your hardware? You might also try Ubuntu 8.10, Fedora 10 or some other newer distro.
