import contacts from windows to e.g. Kontact in SUSE9.2..?

hi all,

this is probably not the correct forum for this question..?

how can i import or transfer my 1,000 entries in my windows address-book into suse9.2 kontact ver 1.0..?
that is - all fields completely identical..

I found the most straight forward way was to install mozilla mail or thunderbird on Windows. This has the facility to import address info from the Windows address book (wab) file. Once there just export the address book which gives a ldif file. This can then be imported into Kmail or Kontact on Suse.
