GXMame problem Suse 9.1

Hello guys,

I have a problem with GXMame.
XMame is installed and roms where working, but if I start a rom with GXMame I get the error:

error: unknown option -sound

If I disable sound I get the error:

error: unknown option -nosound

Are there more people with this problem and how can I solve this problem.

same problem using Fedora Core 2

I've been using Fedora Core since it appeared, now I'm using FC2, I've installed gxmame every time and play normally always getting the latest version from FreshRPMs until the last three releases, first it showed the same error as your's then the next version showed a video error and yesterday (November 4th 2004) when I downloaded the latest version (praying to get a functional one) I got the disappointing notice that the errors continued, now it shows error: unknown option -bpp.

I'm very disappointed with the FreshRPMs gxmame testing! Three releases and none works!
Please if anyone has a working version for fedora core message me!

Thank you!

Have you tried just running the install script from the web site? If not, try it. RPMs and DEBs are great, but don't always work and are rarely as up to date as the current source or binaries.
