Font and Menu Size Problems

Running SuSe Linux 10, Gnome Desktop everything runs great - Except, When I logout, and am presented with the SuSe Linux 10 Usename Box, the Blinking Cursor is the right size for the box, but whenI type in a username the fonts are so big they did not fit in the Username entry box, they are huge - you only see a part of the font in the box. Also, any menus that pop up such as shut down / cancel menu are huge.

I have noticed that when logging off from Gnome, the screen does seem to do some kind of switch, but I am not sure what it is doing. Anyway this is the only display problem I have. When in Gnome all menus and fonts are correct. It is only in the Login Usename Screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

By any chance do you know whether you are using KDM or GDM as login manager?

Sorry About That, when I switched to KDM, problem went away, but I want to fix GDM. Thanks.

You won't find too many Suse\GNOME users. I'd recommend re asking this elsewhere if you can't get a good answer here.

I would do a file search for "gdm". One of two things will happen, either you find the .conf file that can be manually edited or you will find the binary for the configuration utility. "gdmconfig" sounds familiar.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but I've never used Suse and GNOME together so I can't guarantee what menu options to look for in the GUI.
