Hello, I just installed compiz fusion with yast and then enabled xgl and restarted kde. Now the desktop seems to freeze with the exception of rotating the cube. If I have my finger on the mouse while the cube is moving, the desktop is working like normal, if I let go of the mouse, it's like windows froze. It's like the screen refresh went AWOL. Has anyone had this issue? Is there a way it can be fixed? I have an ATI express 200 card. I am using suse 10.3 if that means anything.
Thanks
Like MS3FGX said ATI are hard to run with compiz. I had an ATI Radeon X800 XL 256M and for 2D desktop was great but compiz did not work. Many users have been successful. I went to nvidia 8800 and it is perfect, first beryl and now compiz-fusion they have been my default window manager.
In my laptop I have an intel video chip and compiz-fusion also works very well.
