beagle's best crashes in KDE

Greetings, I've tried to install beagle v. 0.0.10 and 0.0.11.1 as the version provided by suse has a lot of bugs. The deamon runs fine in the background. However when I run best to search I get the following error in the console:
The program 'best' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
(Details: serial 853 error_code 2 request_code 34 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
The weird thing is that Best works with all the other window managers installed (Blackbox, tvwm etc., Gnome is not installed) but not with KDE. Any ideas?

Edit: I've just managed to run Best with: best --no-tray, but why does the tray icon crash the app? If I run "best" one time I go straight to the error message, the next time it shows in the tray but when I try to show the window then it crashes.
