Unhappy sys-unconf

Hello
I've ran the sys-unconf on a solaris 5.8 box when the system restarted and went through the system configuration command. I did not set the root account with a password, I had no problem with the configuration bit, but when I came to the login prompt wonted to login in as root it came up with user account has expired. How do I resolve this issue.

thanks

Boot in single mode
Code:
boot -s
and then use passwd to give root a password:
Code:
passwd root
