Sun Ultra 10 not finding hard drives

Howdy. I'm pretty new to *nix and really new to Sun.
I was given some U10 boxes to learn on and the first issue I have is that one of the boxes wont find the HD's even though there are two in there.
I did a probe-ide and it only came back with the cdrom as a secondary master. Is there a jumper setting in the box - or something else that would tell the machine not to see the drives?

It was originally configured as a net boot.. (if that helps)
Thank you.

I replaced the drives with a pair from another U10 and now it's working. So I guess the answer to my other question would be NO... Are the drives in these things striped by default? As you can tell I know so very little..

There are no jumpers of this kind I'm aware of with U10 and there is no striping (RAID) by default on these disks.
