Screen Flicker

Hi, my monitor keeps flickering under OpenSolaris, I know the screen isn't damaged and I belive this is to do with the vertical and horizontol refresh rates.

I have an ATI radeon xpress 1250 chipset GPU

Is there a config file I can change these, or a tool I should run,
Please help, this flickering is driving me insane 0_0.

Hi xXDarkwolfXx,

There is a coomad that will help you configure the screen. You have to run 'xorgconfig' as root. Make sure that you know the details of you monitor.

I think this would work.

It works fine on the login screen! =[
is there anyway i could steal the configuration from that

The (graphical) login screen and your desktop are using the very same X11 configuration as X11 isn't restarted between them.

The Xorg server uses xorg.conf if it found one and otherwise uses default settings. You can create an Xorg.conf file to set your own values.
