"make" and "top" questions

Hi All,

I just installed Solaris 10 and I wanted to use "make" and "top" and the terminal says both cannot be found. Am I doing something wrong? I figured these were still in use.

I am trying it both as a normal user and as root with the same result.

Any ideas? Thanks

"top" is not included with Solaris. Go get it from "sunfreeware.com".

"make" is located in /usr/ccs/bin. Perhaps you don't have it in your path?

For a similar purpose, it is recommended to use the prstat and vmstat commands under Solaris, instead of top.

Actually it does and can be found on the Companion CD. "top" is not part of the base load, that part is correct.
