I have SFV20z with SUse9 installed. mount /dev/fd0 and perform read/write test. Then, umount /dev/fd0 and everything OK.
From /var/adm/messages, the /dev/fd0 error messages is as follows:
I wonder why these following messages represents and if it is due to

Hi,
It looks like a hardware problem to me, either drive or floppy disk related.
Your post seems to indicate that you have SuSE9 installed rather than Solaris though, so you might be better off posting in the relevant Linux distro forum.
