Can someone tell me how to obtain general system information in Solaris. I'm needing to obtain information about number of CPUs, speed of machine, amount of memory, current operating system, latest patch installed, how many bits the machine is and the name of the machine the operating system is running on.
if you have a sparc system, try prtdiag -v. That will show you the number of cpus, the amount of ram, machine type, speed of the procs, etc. That command does not exist in x86.
But psrinfo will show you the number of procs (try -v for speeds as well) and prtconf | more should show you amount of ram. uname -a will give you additional info (such as version running)
Distribution: Solaris 11.4, Oracle Linux, Mint, Debian/WSL
