using slack 9 CD to install slack current

If I take a slackware 9.1 CD and during installation point it at the slackware directory from the current tree.

Will it sucessfully install?

It is possible to install over network. I think you have to use the network.dsk instead of install.1 and install.2 (or the root file system on CD). Search the forum as it has been discussed- 'network install'.
