slackware64-live-current power state D3hot


Hi,
I get an error complain about the "power state D3hot" when i boot slackware64-live-current from usb.

Here are my mother board stats ASRock Z170 OC Formula M80-58006900469.

Can anyone please advise?

The first thing I would do is make sure all the air vents, heat sinks, etc., in my computer are free of dust and other obstructions.

Hi, I did the steps you mentioned and no luck.

There's a kernel option you could add to modprobe.conf to see if that helps. See second post in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=269058

Also look if you can update your bios and if what @Windu suggest not help then
give a try with this live-iso https://slackware.uk/gfs/liveslak/
maybe you have success.

Hello, I tried the live cd but I get the same error unfortunately.

The kernel parameter I mentioned, you can pass it while booting, without editing any file.
At the (e)lilo, grub or whatever bootloader's menu selection, press the key that allows you to edit the boot commandline, and add "snd_hda_intel.power_save=0" to that. Then allow the bootloader to continue with that parameter value added.
May be it solves your issue, maybe not.

Hello, I typed the "snd_hda_intel.power_save=0" and it didnt understand my command.

Am i issuing the correct text? it says "boot: snd_hda_intel.power_save=0" ?
