[SOLVED] Slackware15 Lireoffice Only runs in safe-mode

New install of Slack15
used pkgtool to install libreoffice-7.2.2-x86_64-1alien.txz
tried to run it and it said it needed a boost
so installed boost-compat-1.78-x86_64-1alien.txz
soffice then says
unspecified Application Error
if you run
soffice --safe-mode
it starts up and seems ok ??
used pkgtool to uninstall 7.2.2
installed 7.3.0
get same results
is it ok to just keep running in safe-mode ?
7.2.2 runs great on my old slackware15 computer.
chhecked and I have boost-1.78.0-x86_64-1
and boost-compat-1.78-x86_64-1alboost-Compat
installed
wonder if I have too much boost

I got libreoffice to run without safe mode by adding this

# 10-13-19 - libreoffice crashes system if OpenCL is enabled
export SAL_DISABLE_OPENCL=1

Alternatively, you can try

export MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=i965

if it's a "modern" intel graphics chip (iris).

checked old computer it only has boost-1-78.0-x86-64-1 on it ?
old computer has no ~/.xprofile file
rremoved boost-compat-1.78-x86_64-1alboost-Compat
did an export MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=1965
soffice ran ok
rebooted
soffice ok now with no export ??????
installing and removing boost-compat-1.78-x86_64-1alien.txz seems to have fixed it ???????
I'm happy but confused.
