[Request] README.TXT needed for the /EFI Directory (Ping Volkerdi, Ruario)

My question is related to my earlier post:

https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...y&t=4175473715

Does the /EFI directory in the root tree of the Slackware installer supersede this document on the Slackdocs:
http://docs.slackware.com/howtos:sla..._uefi_hardware

In which case it would be nice to have some sort of readme file to explain how this actually happens under the hood; at the same time this document should be updated with this new information.

Then I have two more questions: is the ftp installer (the minimal image) aware of this EFI installation? In other words would the ftp installer proceed in installing Elilo instead of LILO?

Thanks

I must admit I have not played with -current in some time so have very little idea about the state of EFI support in the upcoming 14.1, hence it is a little hard to answer your questions.

I'll try and find some time to play with -current and perhaps after that update the article. In the mean time if anyone else has suggestions for me to improve what I have written or would like to take it over, just say. I created that file because it was obviously absent and I had played a little with EFI but I do not consider myself any kind of expert on the subject, on the contrary. I'm sure there are several people here who know a lot more.
