OpenSSL 3 upgrade

Hello

The latest updates are out today which include the migration to OpenSSL-3.
If you have self-compiled apps, they may link against OpenSSL-1. If you're unsure, the best thing to do is install the new compatibility package to avoid recompiling them.

a/openssl11-solibs

Enjoy.

I have a straightforward x64 current.
Couple of days ago and after an overnight update and the next morning reboot, wpa_supplicant over the WNIC stopped working...
ldd showed why:
ldd /usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant
linux-vdso.so.1 (0x00007ffd893ea000)
librt.so.1 => /lib64/librt.so.1 (0x00007f57dd97c000)
libnl-3.so.200 => /usr/lib64/libnl-3.so.200 (0x00007f57dd959000)
libnl-genl-3.so.200 => /usr/lib64/libnl-genl-3.so.200 (0x00007f57dd951000)
libnl-route-3.so.200 => /usr/lib64/libnl-route-3.so.200 (0x00007f57dd8c3000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib64/libdl.so.2 (0x00007f57dd8be000)
libssl.so.1.1 => not found
libcrypto.so.1.1 => not found

libdbus-1.so.3 => /usr/lib64/libdbus-1.so.3 (0x00007f57dd868000)
libc.so.6 => /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x00007f57dd671000)
libelogind.so.0 => /lib64/libelogind.so.0 (0x00007f57dd5c7000)
/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007f57dd9d1000)

libcap.so.2 => /lib64/libcap.so.2 (0x00007f57dd5bb000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib64/libpthread.so.0 (0x00007f57dd5b4000)

slackpkg file-search libssl

Looking for libssl in package list. Please wait... DONE

The list below shows the packages that contains "libssl" file.
---snip---
[inst] slackware64 : openssl-3.0.8-x86_64-2
[inst] slackware64 : openssl-solibs-3.0.8-x86_64-2
[unin] slackware64 : openssl11-1.1.1t-x86_64-1
[unin] slackware64 : openssl11-solibs-1.1.1t-x86_64-1

Luckily, I had a wired connection available, so connected to the wired and re-installed the libs
# slackpkg install openssl11-1.1.1t-x86_64-1 openssl11-solibs-1.1.1t-x86_64-1

All is well again with the wnic.

ldd showed why:
This is the reason why I posted this advisory here and within the changelog before people encountered it on AArch64.
