XGL for Slackware

Some time ago I saw an XGL demo vid from Novell, and I liked what I saw. I don't care about all the options I would get from Compiz/Beryl, and I don't really want to upgrade my Xorg server.

The problem is, I can't seem to find a download source for plain old XGL for Slackware. Does it not exist? Would some other distro's package work?

Thanks!

AFAIK Xgl require the modular version of Xorg so you won't be able to use it without upgrading your Xorg server.

I made a post with a link to some packages and explanations about installing beryl/Xgl on slackware 11.0 here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=491397

Hope this helps...

thx

Thanks, that did the trick

Interestingly enough, plain old Compiz runs great on my mobile GeForce 440. Weird.
