XFCE Tray Frame Issue

Minor aesthetic issue here, but it's really bugging me, and the solution will probably involve digging into some xfce files of which the process may be of use to people with more serious issues. Just redid all of my themes and what not, and I've got an issue where the frame for the battery indicator and clock panel item icons just will not go away, despite me de-selecting the frame option in both of their preferences panels.

Does anyone know a way to manually go and turn off the frame, or some other measure that could be used to get rid of them?

Picture attached, in case it's not clear what I'm talking about.

Are you sure that frame isn't of the "Notification Area"?
Does this persist even using the default theme/icons?

*facepalm*

And that's why I should think before I post. It was the theme, and I'm now wondering why it wasn't be first thought to give a different one a try. I really liked it, but it was generic enough I should be able to find a suitable replacement quite easily.

Not sure why it was happening, but it's moot now.

To answer your other question though, the battery icon was part of the notification area, but you can turn the frame off for that as well.
