Unhappy X do not start on ZipSlack 10 (error message enclosed)

I downloaded X from ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/slackware/slackware-current/slackware/x/. Then I placed them in a temporary folder named "/temp2" and typed "installpkg *.tgz". The process seemed fine. When I typed "startx" I got the following message:

xauth: creating new authority file /root/.Xauthority
xauth: creating new authority file /root/.Xauthority

X: /lib/libc.so.6: version GLIB_2.3.4 not found (required by X) giving up.

Any idea of what's happening?

Unless you want to upgrade glibc (and maybe other packages), download X packages from Slackware 10 (stable) not current.

http://www.slackware.com/pb/
Select slackware-10 and search x11
or http://www.slackware.com/getslack/ there select a country, then a mirror and finally get into the slackware-10.0 directory

What a fast reply! Thanks once again.

I think the best choise would be to download the .ISO files and never bother again for anything If anyone newbie like me is reading, I suggest everyone to do this. Net Cafes have good download bandwidths and can burn you CDs/DVDs
