Wine 7.x With Fancy PE binaries?

So does anyone have a recipe for building Wine-7.x with the fancy PE binaries? It looks like you need a Windows cross-tool-chain. I'd like to try the latest and greatest now that I have been able to upgrade to 15.0. I still have couple older windows games people have given me that don't like my Win4.x build. I am in no real hurry to play them but I keep thinking someday maybe.. In the mean time all the Windows apps I need for work seem happy.

I have finally stopped using any 16-bit win apps so I think could even use the new thunking support in wine to run WOW64 apps (32-bit). Which would be nice because at that point my understanding is wine itself is pure 64-bit and I could eventually switch my c libs back to stock Slackware on a future upgrade and drop all the compat-32 packages (wine is the last 32 bit stuff I am using). It would slick to not have to think about multilib (not that the implementation hasn't been first class - thanks Eric!).

I guess https://alien.slackbook.org/blog/ms-...and-mingw-w64/ is what you need? It's written for Wine 5 but it describes exactly what you are looking for:mingw-w64.

Yeah, you need mingw. I use Alien Bob's build, but keep in mind that it needs to be rebuilt when glibc is. So long as you source the script in /etc/profile.d, you shouldn't need to do anything else to get WINE to recognize it and build accordingly.
