when links to slackbuild sources get deprecated (OOo SBo-13.1 for eg)

Any input from the slack community as to how best monitor/up-keep source links from slackbuilds. 404 http errors for eg.

1/ contact upstream maintainers
2/ voluntary retesting from the community
3/ archiving source archives on slack community servers for added resilience against [see title]

Or any other ideas,
Excuse my brevity. Have a gr8wkend slackers.

I seem to remember Robby saying something about it on the mailing list: only the slackbuilds for the latest stable are supported and the old ones are kept for historical reasons but are not updated.
Seems reasonable to me, as this will be an hell lot of additional work for maintainers and slackbuilds.org's people (not mentioning having to keep old installs around just to test them).
