what is new command to test for install of pcmciautils

I am aware that when slackers had pcmcia-cs....the command to test that you had it correctly installed
cardmgr -V

2 Now it appears we have cpmciautils but the old command or just cardmgr no longer works

any clues please?

I need it for a post with a rip live cd rebuild of kernel

Why not just have a look at the package database file for pcmiautils in /var/log/packages? That should tell you the names of any programs installed by the packages.
