weird cd reading

Hi!

I have encounted a wierd problem with reading a cd. I am not sure what format it was in(iso9660/udf); cause it was from someone else.

The problem is, I can see or read all the files in the CD. Let me give you the situation in detail:

Contents of CD:

Presentation (folder)
-->frame1__.htm
-->frame2__.htm
-->frame3__.htm
-->some.gif
-->other.gif
And a lot more.

But after I mount the cd using:
mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/cdrom
It says write-protected, (okay)

and when I ls I get Presentation,
cd Presentation
ls
I get only frame1__.htm

What is wrong?

I can read the CD in Mac.

And when I did a df -h I can see the cd was used (11Meg).

Well if the cd was burned in Mac os there are two fs :
hfs = normal apple filesystem, corresponding module: hfs
hfs+ = apple filesystem extended, coresponding module : hfsplus

Make sure your kernel support them

cat /proc/filesystems
/sbin/modprobe -l | grep fs

I guess from your infos that the CD is formated with hfs+ so if you have not the hfsplus module, you have to recompile your kernel with it (as module it is better).

I am not sure whether the CD has been formated with hfs+. My guess is, it is not. However, I have all the filesystem compile either as build-in or module. I did a lsmod didn't see hfs or hfs+ module loaded.

What makes it very odd is that, Slackware mount it alright, when I ls at the first level it was ok, second level, only one file appear out of many many others. df shows 11meg has been used.

Hmm.. anybody have this kind of problem with udf format?
