usb wireless mouse never worked


I just fresh installed Slackware 9.1 and trying to configure my logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set to work. Having spent so much time digging information in this forum, I got myself in the stage where my keyboard works fine and the mouse just moves so slow! It is like, when I move it, it takes 10 seconds to respond.

I have tried all sorts of things. Editing XF86Config to the way that other threads suggested. Load usb modules....

But it never really worked. Can anyone out there help me out?

Thanks a lot. I like slackware and want to use it to replace fedora.

check Here manual page for xset. Try something similar to xset -m 7.

Thanks for the reply.
But I think it is not a problem of X. Since I tried to "cat /dev/mouse" in runlevel 3. And the funny characters appears really slow as well.
