updating with swaret

I edited my swaret.conf file and ran slocate -u -e /mnt &, which I think went ok. But when I tried to run swaret --update, I got an error reading:

-bash: swaret: command not found
[1]+ Done slocate -u -e /mnt
#================================================End of error

So, when I did that I was in my /var/SwareT/etc/ directory. So I went over the the /sbin/ directory and got the first line of the above error. Then I went to the root directory and tried and, again, got the first line of the above error. What am I doing wrong and what should I do? Thanks

Were you root when you tried to run the SwareT update?
