Trying to install soundconverter

I downloaded alien bob's soundconverter package from here:

http://slackware.opennix.com/?slackv...ory=multimedia

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to install it. Can anyone help?

I'm also trying to install lame from the same repo. I download it, extract it, and as root I'm going into the directory that contains the slackbuild for the program in question. When I run sh <program>.SlackBuild I get:
Code:
oot@lemon:/home/gene/lame-3.98.4-x86_64-3_mm/usr/doc/lame-3.98.4# sh lame.SlackBuild
mv: cannot stat `/tmp/packages/multimedia/lame-*-x86_64-*_mm.tgz': No such file or directory
tar: /home/gene/lame-3.98.4-x86_64-3_mm/usr/doc/lame-3.98.4/lame-3.98.4.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Any ideas?

If it's a .tgz file you can install it by entering su, and using:
Code:
installpkg soundconverter-1.5.3-x86_64-1_mm.tgz
making sure that you are in the directory the file is in when you run the command.

LOL, ah the sound of a new Slacker "getting it"! I remember saying the same thing after everything I'd heard about Slackware.

Just make sure you read up on slackpkg, 2handband. It has everything you need to install packages (like I showed you up there), and will even keep your system up to date.
